The University comprises of 26 Institutes of Higher Learning with 104 study programmes ranging from Undergraduate, Post Graduate, M.Phil and Doctoral levels. The academic calendar is strictly followed to facilitate timely conduct of examination, declaration of results and commencement of new academic sessions.
On account of its noteworthy achievements, the Bundelkhand University received recognition under Section 12 B of the University Grants Commission and the courses are approved by AICTE, Pharmacy Council of India, Bar Council, NCTE and other concerned agencies, wherever applicable.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in April 2004, based on the infrastructure and academic performance has graded the Bundelkhand University as B++, which in itself speaks of the determination vis a vis performance of this young institution. The University is also the first in the state to be Reaccredited by the NAAC .
The course curriculum of all the courses of the University is being regularly upgraded every year to equip the students with the knowledge and skills as needed by the industry and the corporate world. The courses have been so designed that there is a current blend of theoretical and practical knowledge. There is sufficient input of industrial and practical training as well as project work to provide a 360 degree exposure to the students. Strengthening communication and managerial skills, inculcating leadership qualities, infusing self confidence and self reliance and developing planning acumen and entrepreneurial aptitude among the students is especially stressed upon. The University values direct communication with the students and strives to regularly monitor their pursuits and progress and consistently motivates them for betterment. The University hopes to create in its students the desire for perfection and the understanding of the process of growth and achievement.
The Training and Placement Cell has been revived and strengthened with grants received from Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. The Cell is actively pursuing campus placements for the students of various fields. It can truly be said that the placement of the students is like a barometer for the health of an Academic Institution.
The Traning and Placement Cell organised drives of leading organisation Jubilant Chamysys, Dabur India (Lite bite foods), Pradaan (a leading NGO), Larsen Tourbo, HCL, Comnet, ACE data devices, Interglobe technologies, ICICI Lombard, Axis bank, Du Pont and BASF. Approximately 141 students were placed by these drives. The students also attended pooled campuses at Kanpur, Lucknow, BIET Jhansi and CSE Ambabai for SSB, Army and Infosys as well.
As a part of Academic achievements and sharing of knowledge, the University has been organizing various National and International Conferences and Seminars in different disciplines like Management, Tourism & Hotel Management, Library and Information Science, Food Technology, Geology, Biomedical Sciences, Economics, Physics, Forensic Science, Chemistry, Literature, Law etc.
